Tony Vine: Owner/Operator
Tony, a licensed driving instructor, has a background in improvisational comedy. He studied at the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles, California and directed an improvisational troupe that performed on the campus of UCLA. He has made a career of working with children and adolescents, primarily as a Day Camp Director.  Tony, and his wife Kim, made a quality of life move to Maine in 1998. He was then hired as the Director of External Programs at an independent school in a Boston suburb. Tony must love driving; growing up in Los Angeles where a car is a necessity and then taking a job that had him commuting to Boston, two hours each way. Leaving a wonderfully supportive school community was a difficult decision, but a choice of family over occupation. After listening to dissatisfied teenagers who had recently taken drivers education classes Tony and Kim got the idea that we could deliver that information in a fun, interactive and supportive style that would generate independently thinking drivers… and thus IndieDriver was born in March of 2010.

Additionally; Tony is currently the president of the Maine Driving and traffic Safety Educators Association, MEDTSEA. He is also on the board of New England Traffic Safety Education Association, NETSEA.
